Description
A fast and flavorful dish, these Simple Asian Ground Beef Noodles combine savory beef with springy noodles, a rich soy-hoisin sauce, and bright green onion toppings. Perfect for busy weeknights or a quick comfort meal, all made in under 30 minutes.
Ingredients
1 pound ground beef
8 ounces ramen or lo mein noodles
3 tablespoons soy sauce
2 tablespoons hoisin sauce
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 teaspoon ginger, minced (or ½ teaspoon ground ginger)
4 green onions, chopped
1 tablespoon sesame seeds (optional)
½ red bell pepper, thinly sliced (optional)
Instructions
1. Heat a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add the ground beef and break it apart with a wooden spoon. Cook until browned and cooked through. Drain excess fat.
2. Add garlic and ginger to the beef. Stir and cook for 1–2 minutes until fragrant.
3. Stir in the soy sauce and hoisin sauce, mixing well to coat the beef evenly.
4. In a separate pot, cook the noodles according to the package instructions. Drain and rinse under cold water.
5. Add cooked noodles to the beef mixture and toss until well coated.
6. Adjust seasoning if needed. Add red bell pepper if using.
7. Garnish with chopped green onions and sesame seeds. Serve immediately.
Notes
Use low-sodium soy sauce to control salt levels if desired.
You can substitute lo mein noodles with spaghetti or rice noodles.
For extra crunch, toss in shredded carrots or snap peas during the last minute of cooking.
