Description
Christmas Rice Crispy Treats With Sprinkles are a quick holiday dessert that looks festive and tastes wonderfully soft, chewy, and sweet. This easy recipe is perfect for Christmas parties, cookie trays, edible gifts, and fun food ideas when you need a no-bake treat that feels special without much effort.
Ingredients
6 cups Rice Krispies cereal
4 tablespoons butter
10 ounces mini marshmallows
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 pinch salt
1 1/2 cups white melting wafers
3 tablespoons Christmas sprinkles
Instructions
1. Line an 8×8-inch or 9×9-inch pan with parchment paper or lightly grease it.
2. In a large pot over low heat, melt the butter.
3. Add the mini marshmallows and salt, stirring until fully melted and smooth.
4. Stir in the vanilla extract.
5. Remove the pot from the heat and fold in the Rice Krispies cereal until evenly coated.
6. Transfer the mixture to the prepared pan and gently press it into an even layer without packing too tightly.
7. Let the treats cool until set, then cut into squares or rounds.
8. Melt the white melting wafers in a microwave-safe bowl in short intervals, stirring between each one.
9. Dip or spoon the melted coating over the tops of the treats.
10. Add the Christmas sprinkles while the coating is still wet.
11. Let the topping set completely before serving.
Notes
Keep the heat low when melting the marshmallows so the treats stay soft instead of turning hard.
Press the mixture gently into the pan to keep the texture light and chewy.
Add the sprinkles right away after coating so they stick before the topping sets.
