White Chocolate Orange Creamsicle Truffles

White Chocolate Orange Creamsicle Truffles

  • Author: Olivia McKenney
  • Total Time: 2 hours 15 minutes
  • Yield: 18-20 truffles

Description

These truffles blend the nostalgic flavor of orange creamsicles with the elegance of a white chocolate shell. With a creamy citrus center, they’re no-bake, easy to make, and perfect for gifting or indulging. A soft dusting of powdered sugar adds the finishing touch for a beautiful and delicious dessert bite.

Ingredients

2 cups white chocolate chips or chopped bars (divided)

1 cup sweetened condensed milk

1 tablespoon orange zest

1 teaspoon orange extract

2 tablespoons unsalted butter (optional)

2 tablespoons powdered sugar (for dusting)

Instructions

1. Melt 1 cup of white chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl until smooth.

2. Stir in the sweetened condensed milk, orange zest, orange extract, and optional butter until combined.

3. Chill the mixture in the refrigerator for 1 to 2 hours, or until firm.

4. Scoop and roll the mixture into bite-sized balls, then place on a parchment-lined baking sheet.

5. Freeze the truffle centers for 30 minutes to firm them up before dipping.

6. Melt the remaining 1 cup of white chocolate in a clean microwave-safe bowl.

7. Dip each frozen truffle into the melted white chocolate and allow excess to drip off.

8. Place dipped truffles back on the parchment-lined tray and sprinkle with powdered sugar or extra zest.

9. Let them set at room temperature or refrigerate until the coating hardens.

Notes

Use a high-quality white chocolate brand like Ghirardelli or Lindt for smoother melting and better taste.

Avoid using orange juice instead of extract—the flavor won’t be as bold, and it may affect texture.

If freezing for later, thaw truffles in the refrigerator overnight before serving for the best texture.
