Ingredients
1 lb ground beef
1 cup shredded or sliced cheddar cheese
4 slices of tomato
4 tablespoons butter (softened)
4 slices of white sandwich bread or Texas toast
Salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder to taste
Optional: ketchup or mustard for added flavor
Instructions
- In a skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef until fully cooked. Drain excess grease.
- Season with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Stir and cook 2-3 more minutes. Set aside.
- Butter one side of each bread slice.
- Place one slice, butter-side down, on skillet. Layer cheese, beef, tomato, and more cheese. Top with another slice of bread, butter-side up.
- Grill over medium heat, about 3-4 minutes per side, until bread is golden and cheese is melted.
- Remove from skillet, slice diagonally, and serve hot.
