Ingredients
Chicken Sausage, sliced into coins
Olive Oil
Garlic, minced
Orzo Pasta
Chicken Broth
Heavy Cream
Fresh Spinach
Parmesan Cheese, grated
Salt & Pepper, to taste
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add chicken sausage and sear until golden brown on both sides. Remove and set aside.
- Add minced garlic to the skillet and sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Stir in the orzo and toast for 1-2 minutes.
- Pour in chicken broth, bring to a boil, then reduce heat. Simmer uncovered for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Add heavy cream and spinach, stirring until spinach wilts.
- Return sausage to the pan and mix in grated parmesan. Cook for 2 more minutes.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste. Serve warm with extra parmesan if desired.
