  • Author: Olivia McKenney

  • Yield: 4 servings

Description

This juicy, flavorful salmon is pan-seared and oven-baked to perfection, then coated in a honey-soy glaze with garlic, Dijon, and lemon. It’s an easy steakhouse-style dinner you can make right at home in under 30 minutes.

Ingredients

4 salmon fillets (about 6 oz each, skin-on)

2 tablespoons olive oil

1/4 cup honey

2 tablespoons soy sauce

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 tablespoon Dijon mustard

1 tablespoon lemon juice

1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (optional)

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

4 lemon slices (for topping)

Salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Make the glaze: In a small saucepan, combine honey, soy sauce, garlic, Dijon mustard, and lemon juice. Simmer for 3-4 minutes until slightly thickened. Remove from heat.
  2. Preheat and prep: Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Pat salmon fillets dry and season with salt and pepper.
  3. Sear the salmon: Heat olive oil in an oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat. Place salmon skin-side down and sear for 3-4 minutes until golden.
  4. Glaze and bake: Turn off the heat, brush glaze generously over salmon, top with lemon slices, and transfer skillet to oven. Bake for 8-10 minutes or until cooked through.
  5. Finish and serve: Spoon extra glaze from the pan over the salmon and garnish with parsley. Serve hot.
