This Sweet and Spicy Garlic Steak Pasta is a restaurant-style dish made at home in under 30 minutes. Tender steak slices sit on a bed of garlicky noodles coated in a sweet, salty, and slightly spicy glaze. A weeknight dinner hero!
Ingredients
1 pound Ribeye or Sirloin Steak
12 ounces Linguine or Fettuccine Pasta
6 cloves Fresh Garlic, minced
3 tablespoons Soy Sauce
2 tablespoons Honey
1 teaspoon Chili Flakes or Gochugaru (adjust to taste)
2 tablespoons Butter
2 tablespoons Olive Oil
2 tablespoons Parsley or Green Onion, chopped
to taste Salt
to taste Black Pepper
Instructions
1. Season both sides of the steak with salt and pepper.
2. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat and sear the steak for 3–4 minutes on each side. Remove and rest before slicing thinly.
3. Boil pasta in salted water until al dente. Reserve 1/2 cup of pasta water and drain.
4. In the same skillet, add more olive oil and butter. Sauté minced garlic until fragrant.
5. Stir in soy sauce, honey, and chili flakes. Simmer for 1–2 minutes.
6. Toss the cooked pasta into the skillet and coat with the sauce, adding reserved pasta water as needed.
7. Plate the pasta and top with sliced steak.
8. Garnish with parsley or green onion and serve hot.
Notes
Let the steak rest before slicing to keep juices locked in.
Adjust chili flakes to your spice tolerance. Start mild and build up.
Don’t overcook the garlic — sauté just until fragrant to avoid bitterness.
