Steak & Shrimp Stir-Fry Noodles

  • Author: Olivia McKenney
  • Total Time: 25 minutes
  • Yield: 2–3 servings

Description

A bold and satisfying stir-fry featuring tender steak, juicy shrimp, vibrant veggies, and chewy noodles, all tossed in a flavorful homemade sauce. This dish is faster than takeout and perfect for busy weeknights or a casual dinner party.

Ingredients

1/2 lb flank steak or sirloin, thinly sliced

1/2 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined

8 oz lo mein noodles or egg noodles, cooked

2 tbsp low-sodium soy sauce

2 tbsp oyster sauce

1 tbsp hoisin sauce

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 tbsp fresh ginger, minced

1 tbsp sesame oil

2 tbsp vegetable oil

1 red bell pepper, sliced

2 cups baby spinach or bok choy

2 green onions, sliced

Instructions

1. Slice the steak thinly against the grain, clean the shrimp, chop vegetables, and cook noodles to al dente. Set everything aside.

2. In a small bowl, mix steak slices with 1 tablespoon soy sauce, minced garlic, and sesame oil. Let marinate for 10 minutes.

3. Heat wok or skillet over high heat with vegetable oil. Sear steak slices in batches until browned. Remove and set aside. Repeat with shrimp until just pink.

4. Add a little more oil to the pan. Stir-fry garlic, ginger, red bell pepper, and green onions for 1–2 minutes. Add spinach and cook until wilted.

5. Return steak and shrimp to the pan. Add noodles and sauce mixture (soy, oyster, hoisin, sesame oil). Toss everything until coated and hot.

6. Serve immediately. Garnish with sesame seeds or chili flakes if desired.

Notes

For best results, slice steak thinly and evenly to ensure quick, tender cooking.

Don’t overcrowd the pan when searing steak or shrimp—work in batches to keep the sear.

Add a splash of water or soy sauce when reheating to rehydrate the noodles.
