These Spicy Sweet and Sour Fried Eggs are crispy on the outside, runny inside, and draped in a tangy-sweet sauce with a spicy kick. Perfect for breakfast, brunch, or a quick savory snack.
Ingredients
2 eggs
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
1 tablespoon soy sauce
1 tablespoon rice vinegar
1 teaspoon honey or sugar
½ teaspoon chili flakes or 1 teaspoon chili oil
1 clove garlic, minced
1 tablespoon green onions, sliced
1 teaspoon sesame seeds
Instructions
1. Make the sauce: Mix soy sauce, rice vinegar, honey, garlic, and chili in a small pan. Warm gently until slightly thick.
2. Fry the eggs: Heat oil in skillet, crack in eggs, and cook until whites are crisp and yolks are runny.
3. Plate and drizzle: Place eggs on plate, spoon sauce over.
4. Garnish and serve: Top with green onions and sesame seeds. Serve immediately.
Notes
For extra crispy whites, spoon hot oil over edges as they cook.
Make the sauce in advance and store up to 3 days.
Adjust chili for more or less heat.
