Description
This Slow Cooker Beef Brisket is a mouthwatering, melt-in-your-mouth dinner perfect for busy weeknights or cozy weekends. Rich with savory sauce and fork-tender texture, it’s a crowd-pleasing favorite that pairs beautifully with mashed potatoes, veggies, or crusty bread.
Ingredients
2.5–3 pounds beef brisket
2 teaspoons kosher salt
1 teaspoon black pepper
1 teaspoon smoked paprika
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon onion powder
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 cup beef broth
2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
2 tablespoons brown sugar
2 tablespoons tomato paste
4 cloves garlic, minced
1 large yellow onion, sliced
Instructions
1. Pat the brisket dry and season all over with salt, pepper, paprika, garlic powder, and onion powder.
2. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat and sear brisket on all sides until browned.
3. In a slow cooker, whisk together beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, tomato paste, and brown sugar. Stir in garlic and sliced onion.
4. Place the seared brisket into the slow cooker. Cover and cook on low for 8–10 hours until fork-tender.
5. Remove brisket and let rest for 10–15 minutes. Slice against the grain.
6. Serve slices with the sauce ladled on top.
Notes
Always sear the brisket first—it adds rich, caramelized flavor.
Slice against the grain after resting for ultimate tenderness.
For a thicker sauce, simmer the leftover liquid in a saucepan to reduce before serving.
