Ingredients
1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, softened
3 cloves garlic, finely minced
1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
1 teaspoon lemon zest
1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
1 tablespoon chopped fresh chives
1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (adjust to taste)
1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
1/4 teaspoon salt (or to taste)
1/4 teaspoon paprika (optional)
Instructions
- Let the butter soften at room temperature until easily spreadable.
- Finely mince the garlic and chop the fresh herbs. Zest and juice the lemon.
- In a medium bowl, combine the butter, garlic, lemon juice, zest, Dijon mustard, parsley, chives, red pepper flakes, black pepper, salt, and paprika (if using).
- Mix thoroughly until well combined.
- Taste and adjust seasoning as needed.
- Scoop onto parchment or plastic wrap and shape into a log or press into a dish.
- Wrap tightly and refrigerate for at least 1 hour, or until firm.
- Slice and serve as needed, or melt for dipping.
