Description

Signature Cowboy Butter is a rich, zesty compound butter made with garlic, fresh herbs, citrus, and spices. Ideal for melting over grilled meats, roasted veggies, or using as a decadent dip, it’s a quick and flavor-packed way to elevate your dishes.


Ingredients

1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, softened

3 cloves garlic, finely minced

1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice

1 teaspoon lemon zest

1 teaspoon Dijon mustard

2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley

1 tablespoon chopped fresh chives

1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (adjust to taste)

1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper

1/4 teaspoon salt (or to taste)

1/4 teaspoon paprika (optional)


Instructions

  1. Let the butter soften at room temperature until easily spreadable.
  2. Finely mince the garlic and chop the fresh herbs. Zest and juice the lemon.
  3. In a medium bowl, combine the butter, garlic, lemon juice, zest, Dijon mustard, parsley, chives, red pepper flakes, black pepper, salt, and paprika (if using).
  4. Mix thoroughly until well combined.
  5. Taste and adjust seasoning as needed.
  6. Scoop onto parchment or plastic wrap and shape into a log or press into a dish.
  7. Wrap tightly and refrigerate for at least 1 hour, or until firm.
  8. Slice and serve as needed, or melt for dipping.
