Ingredients

1 can crescent roll dough

1 pound breakfast sausage

3 tablespoons all-purpose flour

2 cups whole milk

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/4 teaspoon black pepper

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

1 tablespoon butter


Instructions

1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Roll out crescent dough onto a greased or parchment-lined baking sheet. Press seams together and slightly raise edges for crust.

2. In a skillet over medium heat, crumble and cook sausage until browned. Do not drain the grease.

3. Sprinkle flour over sausage, stir to coat, and cook for 1 minute.

4. Slowly whisk in milk, stirring constantly until thickened into gravy. Season with salt and pepper. Let simmer for a few minutes.

5. Spread sausage gravy evenly over crescent dough crust.

6. Top with shredded cheddar and mozzarella.

7. Bake for 12–15 minutes or until crust is golden and cheese is melted and bubbly.
