Description

This Refreshing Strawberry Matcha Latte is a layered drink that combines the sweet, vibrant flavor of strawberries with creamy milk and earthy matcha. It’s visually stunning, packed with antioxidants, and easy to customize. Ideal for an afternoon pick-me-up or an elegant brunch treat.


Ingredients

½ cup fresh strawberries (hulled)

1 teaspoon matcha powder

2 tablespoons hot water (not boiling)

¾ cup milk (dairy or non-dairy)

12 teaspoons honey or maple syrup (optional)

Ice cubes

Fresh strawberries for garnish (optional)


Instructions

1. Add the strawberries to a blender and blend until smooth. Strain the purée through a mesh sieve to remove seeds.

2. Spoon the strawberry purée into the bottom of a tall serving glass.

3. In a small bowl, whisk the matcha powder with hot water using a matcha whisk until frothy and lump-free.

4. Gently pour milk over the strawberry layer, using the back of a spoon to help preserve layers.

5. Carefully pour the matcha on top of the milk, again using a spoon or pouring over ice cubes to maintain separation.

6. Garnish with extra strawberries on top if desired. Serve immediately.

Notes

Use a bamboo matcha whisk to avoid clumps and create a frothy finish.

Pour layers slowly and carefully for the best visual separation.

You can make the strawberry purée ahead and refrigerate for up to 2 days.
