This Quick Honey Garlic Chicken Stir Fry is a fast and flavorful dinner packed with tender chicken, vibrant veggies, and a sticky-sweet garlic sauce. Ready in 30 minutes, it’s perfect for busy nights and better than takeout!
Ingredients
1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breasts
2 cups fresh broccoli florets
1 red bell pepper, sliced
3 cloves garlic, minced
1/3 cup honey
1/4 cup low sodium soy sauce
2 teaspoons cornstarch
1/4 cup water
2 tablespoons olive oil or sesame oil
1 tablespoon sesame seeds (optional)
Instructions
1. Slice the chicken into thin strips and chop the vegetables into bite-sized pieces. Mince the garlic and set aside.
2. In a bowl, whisk together the honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, cornstarch, and water until smooth.
3. Heat oil in a wok or large skillet over medium-high heat. Add chicken and stir-fry until golden and cooked through. Remove and set aside.
4. In the same pan, add more oil if needed. Add broccoli and red bell pepper and stir-fry for 3 to 4 minutes until tender-crisp.
5. Return chicken to the pan. Pour in the sauce and stir well. Cook for another 2 to 3 minutes until sauce thickens and everything is coated.
6. Remove from heat and sprinkle with sesame seeds if desired. Serve hot over rice or noodles.
Notes
For extra heat, add red pepper flakes or sriracha to the sauce.
Swap in chicken thighs for a juicier texture and richer flavor.
Add a splash of broth or water when reheating to keep the sauce silky.
