These Quick and Easy Vegan Donuts are a soft, fluffy, and fun treat that comes together in under 30 minutes. Baked instead of fried and made with everyday pantry staples, they’re topped with a simple glaze and sprinkles for that bakery-style finish—without the eggs or dairy.
Ingredients
1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 cup granulated sugar
2 teaspoons baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon (optional)
1/2 cup non-dairy milk (such as almond or oat)
1 teaspoon apple cider vinegar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 tablespoons neutral oil (canola or avocado)
3/4 cup powdered sugar
1 to 2 tablespoons non-dairy milk
Sprinkles (optional)
Instructions
1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease a donut pan.
2. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, sugar, salt, and cinnamon (if using).
3. In another bowl, mix the non-dairy milk, apple cider vinegar, vanilla extract, and oil. Let sit for 1 minute to slightly curdle.
4. Pour the wet mixture into the dry and stir gently with a spatula until just combined. Don’t overmix.
5. Fill each donut mold about 3/4 full using a spoon or piping bag.
6. Bake for 12–15 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
7. Cool the donuts in the pan for 5 minutes, then transfer to a cooling rack.
8. For the glaze, whisk powdered sugar with 1 tablespoon of non-dairy milk. Add more milk as needed to reach a pourable consistency.
9. Dip or drizzle glaze over cooled donuts and top with sprinkles.
10. Let the glaze set before serving.
Notes
For extra tender donuts, don’t overmix the batter—stop as soon as the ingredients are combined.
Use a piping bag or ziplock with the tip cut off to fill the donut pan neatly.
If storing, keep unglazed donuts frozen for longer shelf life; glaze just before serving.
