Description
This Perfect Ground Beef and Rice Skillet is a one-pan dinner winner packed with savory flavor, melted cheese, and hearty comfort. It’s easy, family-friendly, and perfect for busy nights or meal prep.
Ingredients
1 pound ground beef
2 cups cooked white rice
1 cup chopped bell peppers (any color)
1 medium onion, chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1/2 teaspoon paprika (optional)
2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley or green onion (for garnish)
Instructions
1. Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it up as it cooks. Drain excess grease.
2. Add olive oil to the skillet, then stir in chopped onion and bell peppers. Sauté until softened, about 4–5 minutes. Add garlic and cook for 1 minute more.
3. Stir in the cooked rice, salt, pepper, and paprika. Mix well to combine all ingredients evenly.
4. Sprinkle shredded cheese over the top. Lower heat, cover, and let the cheese melt for 2–3 minutes.
5. Remove from heat, garnish with chopped parsley or green onion, and serve hot.
Notes
Pre-cooked rice is key—use leftovers or prep rice earlier to save time.
Customize with veggies like mushrooms, corn, or zucchini.
Want a spicy twist? Add jalapeños or swap in pepper jack cheese.
