Description

Golden, gooey, and dripping with caramelized pecan goodness, these Pecan Rolls are the ultimate comfort treat. Soft, pillowy dough is rolled with cinnamon sugar, baked with a sticky pecan glaze, and finished with a silky drizzle. Perfect for holidays, brunch, or when you need a cozy homemade indulgence.

Ingredients

2 ¼ teaspoons instant yeast

¾ cup warm whole milk

¼ cup granulated sugar

2 large eggs

¼ cup unsalted butter, softened

3 ½ cups all-purpose flour

1 teaspoon salt

¾ cup brown sugar

1 tablespoon ground cinnamon

¼ cup unsalted butter, softened (for filling)

¾ cup heavy cream (for baking and glaze)

1 cup chopped pecans

½ cup whole pecans (for topping)

½ cup brown sugar (for glaze)

¼ cup unsalted butter (for glaze)

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. 1. Warm the milk and mix it with sugar and yeast. Let it sit for 5 minutes to bloom.
  2. Add eggs, softened butter, and salt.
  3. Gradually mix in flour using a dough hook until the dough forms and pulls from the bowl.
  4. Knead until smooth. Cover and let rise until doubled in size.
  5. In a small bowl, combine brown sugar and cinnamon
  6. . Roll out the dough into a rectangle.
  7. Spread with softened butter and sprinkle evenly with the cinnamon sugar mixture.
  8. Roll the dough into a log and slice into 1.5-inch pieces.
  9. Place in a greased 9×13 pan.
  10. For the glaze, melt butter and brown sugar together.
  11. Stir in heavy cream, vanilla, and chopped pecans. Simmer until glossy
  12. . Pour half into the bottom of the baking dish before adding the rolls.
  13. Let rolls rise again for 30–45 minutes.
  14. Pour warm heavy cream over the rolls.
  15. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 25–30 minutes or until golden and cooked through.
  16. Pour remaining glaze over hot rolls and top with whole pecans. Serve warm.

Notes

Let your dough rise in a warm spot to get the fluffiest rolls.

Toasting pecans before using them enhances their nutty flavor.

Don’t skip the heavy cream—it creates that gooey, sticky base that makes these rolls irresistible.
