Ingredients

1 cup sugar

1/2 cup packed brown sugar

2 tablespoons butter

1/2 cup evaporated milk

1/2 cup marshmallows

1 cup semisweet chocolate chips

1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

1/2 cup chopped pecans (optional)

Instructions

  1. Line an 8×8-inch baking dish with parchment paper or lightly grease it with butter.
  2. In a medium saucepan over medium heat, combine the sugar, brown sugar, butter, and evaporated milk. Stir continuously until the mixture comes to a gentle boil. Let it cook for about 2 minutes, stirring constantly.
  3. Reduce the heat to low and add the marshmallows and chocolate chips. Stir until completely melted and smooth.
  4. Remove from heat and stir in the vanilla extract and chopped pecans (if using).
  5. Pour the mixture into the prepared baking dish and spread evenly with a spatula.
  6. Let it cool at room temperature for 30 minutes, then refrigerate for at least 1 hour until fully set.
  7. Once firm, remove from the pan and cut into small squares. Enjoy!
