One-Skillet Smoky Honey Chili Beef Rice is a flavorful and hearty dish packed with tender beef, sautéed vegetables, and perfectly seasoned rice. Ingredients
1 lb (450g) beef sirloin or flank steak, thinly sliced
2 tbsp olive oil
1 red bell pepper, diced
1 green bell pepper, diced
1 small onion, finely chopped
2 garlic cloves, minced
2 cups cooked rice (preferably day-old)
2 tbsp soy sauce
1 tbsp honey
1 tsp smoked paprika
1 tsp chili powder
1/2 tsp cumin
Salt and black pepper, to taste
2 green onions, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Slice beef into thin strips, season with salt, pepper, half of the paprika and chili powder.
- Heat 1 tbsp olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Sear beef for 3-4 minutes. Remove and set aside.
- Add remaining oil to skillet. Sauté onion and garlic for 1 minute.
- Add diced bell peppers and cook for 4-5 minutes until slightly tender.
- Push vegetables to one side, add cooked rice.
- Add soy sauce, honey, remaining spices. Stir everything to combine.
- Return beef to skillet. Toss and cook for another 2-3 minutes.
- Garnish with green onions and serve hot.
