Description

One-Skillet Smoky Honey Chili Beef Rice is a flavorful and hearty dish packed with tender beef, sautéed vegetables, and perfectly seasoned rice. Ingredients

1 lb (450g) beef sirloin or flank steak, thinly sliced

2 tbsp olive oil

1 red bell pepper, diced

1 green bell pepper, diced

1 small onion, finely chopped

2 garlic cloves, minced

2 cups cooked rice (preferably day-old)

2 tbsp soy sauce

1 tbsp honey

1 tsp smoked paprika

1 tsp chili powder

1/2 tsp cumin

Salt and black pepper, to taste

2 green onions, chopped (for garnish)


Instructions

  1. Slice beef into thin strips, season with salt, pepper, half of the paprika and chili powder.
  2. Heat 1 tbsp olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Sear beef for 3-4 minutes. Remove and set aside.
  3. Add remaining oil to skillet. Sauté onion and garlic for 1 minute.
  4. Add diced bell peppers and cook for 4-5 minutes until slightly tender.
  5. Push vegetables to one side, add cooked rice.
  6. Add soy sauce, honey, remaining spices. Stir everything to combine.
  7. Return beef to skillet. Toss and cook for another 2-3 minutes.
  8. Garnish with green onions and serve hot.
