Ingredients
1 lb chicken breasts
12 oz linguine pasta
1 tbsp olive oil
1 tbsp butter
1 tsp paprika
½ tsp red pepper flakes (adjust to taste)
3 cloves garlic, minced
3 cups chicken broth
1 cup heavy cream
¾ cup grated parmesan cheese
½ tsp salt
¼ tsp black pepper
Instructions
1. Season chicken breasts with salt, pepper, paprika, and red pepper flakes.
2. In a large skillet or Dutch oven, heat olive oil and butter over medium-high heat.
3. Sear chicken on both sides until golden and cooked through. Remove and set aside.
4. In the same pot, sauté minced garlic until fragrant.
5. Add chicken broth and bring to a simmer.
6. Add linguine and cook uncovered, stirring frequently to prevent sticking.
7. Once pasta is al dente, reduce heat and add heavy cream and parmesan cheese. Stir until smooth and creamy.
8. Slice cooked chicken and return it to the pot or layer over the top of the pasta.
9. Let everything sit for a few minutes before serving to meld flavors.
10. Garnish with extra parmesan or red pepper flakes if desired.
Notes
For a milder version, reduce or omit the red pepper flakes.
