Ingredients

1 bag mini pretzel twists or rounds

1 cup soft caramel candies or caramel bits

2 tablespoons heavy cream

1 cup milk or dark chocolate chips

1 teaspoon coconut oil (optional)

1⁄4 cup crushed pecans or almonds

1 teaspoon flaky sea salt


Instructions

1. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone mat. Arrange the pretzels in a single layer.

2. In a microwave-safe bowl, combine caramel candies and heavy cream. Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring each time, until smooth.

3. Spoon a dollop of melted caramel onto each pretzel. (Optional: add a second pretzel on top to make a sandwich.)

4. Chill the tray in the fridge for 15 minutes until caramel is firm.

5. In a separate bowl, melt chocolate chips with coconut oil (if using) in 30-second intervals, stirring until smooth.

6. Dip each caramel pretzel bite halfway into the melted chocolate or drizzle chocolate over the top.

7. While chocolate is still wet, sprinkle with crushed nuts and flaky sea salt.

8. Chill again until chocolate is set. Serve chilled or at room temperature.

Notes

For smoother caramel, don’t skip the heavy cream—it keeps the caramel soft after cooling.

Add coconut oil to chocolate for a shinier finish and smoother dipping.

To make nut-free, skip the pecans/almonds and stick with just sea salt topping.
