Description

Mississippi Sin Quiche is a rich and comforting dish that brings together the classic flavors of a creamy dip with the satisfying structure of a savory pie. Packed with smoky sausage, melty cheddar, tender vegetables, and a luxurious egg custard, it’s perfect for brunch or any occasion that calls for a hearty slice of comfort.

Ingredients

1 pre-made 9-inch pie crust

1 cup cooked smoked sausage or ham, diced

4 large eggs

1/2 cup sour cream

1/2 cup cream cheese, softened

1/2 cup whole milk

1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese

1/4 cup diced yellow bell pepper

1/4 cup green peas (frozen and thawed)

1/4 cup corn kernels (frozen or fresh)

1/4 teaspoon garlic powder

1/4 teaspoon onion powder

Salt and black pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Press pie crust into a 9-inch pie dish and prick the bottom with a fork. Pre-bake for 8 minutes.
  2. In a skillet, cook diced sausage or ham until browned. Sauté bell peppers briefly if using raw.
  3. In a bowl, whisk together cream cheese, sour cream, milk, eggs, and seasonings until smooth.
  4. Fold in sausage, cheddar, bell pepper, peas, and corn.
  5. Pour filling into the pre-baked crust. Bake for 35–40 minutes or until the center is set and top is golden.
  6. Cool for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.
