Ingredients
2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon black pepper
1 teaspoon paprika
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 tablespoon olive oil
½ cup panko breadcrumbs
½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
¼ cup shredded Provolone cheese
¼ cup shredded mozzarella cheese
2 tablespoons melted butter
1 teaspoon dried Italian seasoning
½ teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
½ cup heavy cream
2 cloves garlic, minced
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Season the chicken breasts with salt, pepper, paprika, and garlic powder.
- Heat olive oil in a large oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat. Sear the chicken for 3-4 minutes per side until golden brown. Remove from heat.
- In a small bowl, mix panko breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, melted butter, Italian seasoning, and crushed red pepper flakes.
- In another bowl, combine shredded Provolone and mozzarella cheese.
- In the same skillet, sauté minced garlic for 30 seconds. Add heavy cream and simmer for 2-3 minutes until slightly thickened.
- Place the seared chicken breasts back into the skillet. Spread the Parmesan crust mixture evenly over each piece, followed by the shredded cheese blend.
- Transfer the skillet to the oven and bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Remove from the oven and let rest for a couple of minutes before serving.
