Description

Lemon Chicken Delight is a golden, pan-seared chicken dish bathed in a silky lemon butter sauce with fresh herbs. It’s bright, comforting, and easy enough for weeknights while elegant enough for guests.


Ingredients

2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts

2 tablespoons olive oil

1 teaspoon salt

½ teaspoon black pepper

2 tablespoons butter

3 cloves garlic, minced

½ cup chicken broth

2 tablespoons lemon juice

1 teaspoon lemon zest

2 sprigs fresh rosemary or thyme

Lemon slices for garnish (optional)


Instructions

1. Place chicken breasts between plastic wrap and pound evenly. Season both sides with salt and pepper.

2. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Sear chicken for 4–5 minutes per side until golden and cooked through. Remove from pan.

3. Lower heat and add butter to the same pan. Stir in garlic and cook for 30 seconds.

4. Add chicken broth, lemon juice, and zest. Stir to deglaze and blend flavors.

5. Return chicken to skillet. Spoon sauce over top and simmer for 2–3 minutes with rosemary or thyme.

6. Serve with extra sauce and garnish with lemon slices and herbs.

Notes

Pound the chicken evenly to ensure uniform cooking and prevent dry edges.

Use freshly squeezed lemon juice and zest for the brightest flavor.

If reheating, add a splash of broth to keep the sauce smooth.
