Description
This luxurious dish features seared garlic butter steak paired with cheesy tortellini tossed in a homemade Alfredo sauce. It’s rich, comforting, and perfect for cozy nights or special occasions.
Ingredients
2 Ribeye or New York Strip Steaks
3 tablespoons Salted Butter
4 cloves Fresh Garlic, smashed
12 ounces Cheese Tortellini
1 cup Heavy Cream
3/4 cup Parmesan Cheese, freshly grated
1 teaspoon Italian Seasoning
2 tablespoons Fresh Parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Salt and Pepper to taste
Instructions
1. Generously season both sides of your steaks with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning. Let them rest at room temperature for 20 minutes.
2. Heat a cast iron skillet over medium-high heat. Add butter and smashed garlic cloves.
3. Sear the steaks for 3–4 minutes per side, spooning garlic butter over them as they cook.
4. Remove steaks from the pan and cover loosely with foil. Let them rest for 5–10 minutes before slicing thinly against the grain.
5. Cook the tortellini in salted boiling water according to package directions (usually 3–5 minutes). Drain and set aside.
6. In a saucepan, heat the heavy cream over medium heat. Stir in grated Parmesan, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Simmer until thickened.
7. Toss the cooked tortellini with Alfredo sauce until evenly coated.
8. Plate the pasta and top with sliced steak. Garnish with parsley and more Parmesan if desired.
Notes
Letting the steak rest before slicing helps retain its juices—don’t skip this step!
Use freshly grated Parmesan for a smooth Alfredo sauce that melts perfectly.
If the Alfredo sauce thickens too much, add a splash of cream or milk to loosen it up.
