Description
Juicy garlic butter steak bites served over creamy parmesan tortellini is the ultimate comforting dinner combo. Easy enough for a weeknight but impressive enough for guests, this dish blends rich garlic, savory cheese, and tender steak into one unforgettable meal.
Ingredients
1 lb steak (sirloin or ribeye), cubed
10 oz cheese tortellini (fresh or refrigerated)
4 cloves garlic, minced
4 tbsp unsalted butter
1 cup heavy cream
3/4 cup freshly grated parmesan cheese
1 tbsp olive oil
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp black pepper
2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
Instructions
1. Season cubed steak with salt and pepper.
2. Heat a skillet with olive oil and 1 tablespoon butter over high heat. Sear steak bites in batches for about 2–3 minutes per side until browned. Set aside.
3. In the same skillet, reduce heat and add 2 tablespoons butter and minced garlic. Stir until fragrant. Return steak bites to skillet and toss in the garlic butter. Keep warm.
4. In a large pot, boil salted water and cook tortellini according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
5. In a separate saucepan, melt 1 tablespoon butter and cook garlic for 30 seconds. Add heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer.
6. Whisk in parmesan cheese until melted and smooth. Season with salt and pepper.
7. Plate tortellini and spoon over the parmesan garlic sauce. Top with steak bites and drizzle with garlic butter from the pan.
8. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve hot.
Notes
Use room temperature steak for better searing and moisture retention.
Don’t let the garlic brown — just let it bloom for flavor.
Add a splash of cream when reheating to bring the sauce back to life.
