Description

These Fried Nutella Dumplings are golden and crispy on the outside, with warm, gooey Nutella inside. Quick to prepare and endlessly customizable, they make the perfect dessert for any occasion. Serve warm with powdered sugar or ice cream for a show-stopping treat.


Ingredients

1 teaspoon Nutella per dumpling

1 wonton wrapper per dumpling

a small bowl of water

enough vegetable or canola oil for frying

optional powdered sugar for topping

optional chocolate sauce or vanilla ice cream for serving


Instructions

1. Place a wonton wrapper on a clean surface. Add 1 teaspoon of Nutella to the center.

2. Moisten the edges with water using your finger or a pastry brush. Fold into a triangle and press tightly to seal.

3. Heat oil in a small saucepan to 350°F. Use a thermometer for accuracy.

4. Carefully place 2–3 dumplings into the oil and fry for 1–2 minutes on each side until golden brown.

5. Remove with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels.

6. Let cool slightly, then garnish with powdered sugar or chocolate sauce.

7. Serve warm, optionally with a scoop of ice cream.

Notes

Don’t overfill the wrappers—this prevents them from bursting while frying.
