Ingredients
1 wheel brie (8 oz)
1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
1/3 cup cranberry sauce
1/4 cup chopped pecans
1 tablespoon brown sugar
1 egg, beaten
Instructions
1. Allow puff pastry to thaw until soft and pliable. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
2. Place puff pastry on parchment paper over a baking sheet.
3. Set brie in the center of the pastry. Top with cranberry sauce, chopped pecans, and brown sugar.
4. Fold puff pastry over the brie, sealing edges and pleating as needed. Flip so seam is on the bottom.
5. Brush the top and sides with beaten egg for a golden finish.
6. Bake for 20–25 minutes, until pastry is golden brown and crisp.
7. Let it cool for 5–10 minutes before serving. Top with additional pecans if desired.
Notes
Make sure the puff pastry is fully thawed but still cold to the touch before wrapping the brie.
Chill the assembled pastry for 10–15 minutes before baking if your kitchen is warm—this helps hold its shape.
For a flavor boost, add a drizzle of honey or a sprinkle of rosemary before baking.
