Description

Easy Campfire Nachos bring the ultimate outdoor feast to your campsite or backyard. With crispy tortilla chips, flavorful ground beef, melty cheese, and fresh toppings, it’s a fuss-free recipe that delights a crowd and satisfies every craving.

Ingredients

4 cups tortilla chips

1 pound ground beef

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

1 cup diced tomatoes

1/2 cup diced red onions

1/2 cup sour cream

1/4 cup chopped cilantro

1 packet taco seasoning

Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

1. In a skillet over the campfire, cook the ground beef with taco seasoning until browned. Set aside.

2. In a cast-iron skillet, layer tortilla chips, seasoned beef, cheddar, and mozzarella. Repeat layers.

3. Cover skillet loosely with foil and heat over the campfire for 5-10 minutes until cheese is melted.

4. Remove from heat and top with diced tomatoes, red onions, and cilantro. Drizzle with sour cream before serving.

Notes

For vegetarian nachos, swap beef for black beans or plant-based crumbles.

Add jalapeños or hot sauce for an extra kick.

Use foil to speed up cheese melting without burning the chips.
