Ingredients
1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
4 cups green cabbage, thinly sliced
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tablespoon fresh ginger, grated
3 tablespoons soy sauce
2 tablespoons oyster sauce
1 teaspoon chili flakes or sriracha
1 cup carrots, diced
1/3 cup green onions, chopped
1 teaspoon sesame oil
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
Instructions
1. In a bowl, combine shrimp with 1 tablespoon soy sauce, half of the garlic, and chili flakes. Let marinate for 10 minutes.
2. Heat 1 tablespoon vegetable oil in a wok over medium-high heat. Add remaining garlic and ginger. Stir-fry for 30 seconds.
3. Add the shrimp and cook for 1–2 minutes per side until pink and just cooked through. Remove shrimp and set aside.
4. In the same wok, add a little more oil if needed. Stir fry the cabbage and carrots for 4–5 minutes, until just tender.
5. Return shrimp to the wok. Add the rest of the soy sauce, oyster sauce, and a splash of water. Toss everything together to coat.
6. Drizzle sesame oil over the top and garnish with green onions. Serve hot.
Notes
Use fresh cabbage for best crunch and avoid overcooking to retain texture.
Marinate the shrimp briefly to enhance flavor without making them rubbery.
Stir fry at high heat and move quickly to keep ingredients crisp.
