Ingredients
1 pound fresh green beans
1 ½ tablespoons olive oil
⅓ cup grated parmesan cheese, divided
½ teaspoon garlic powder
½ teaspoon salt
¼ teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
1. Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone mat.
2. Wash and trim the ends of the green beans. Pat them completely dry with a clean towel.
3. In a large mixing bowl, toss green beans with olive oil, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper.
4. Add half of the grated parmesan to the bowl and toss again to coat evenly.
5. Arrange green beans in a single layer on the baking sheet, making sure they are not overcrowded.
6. Roast in the oven for 18–22 minutes, flipping or shaking the pan halfway through for even browning.
7. In the last 5 minutes of roasting, sprinkle the remaining parmesan over the beans and return to the oven until golden and crisp.
8. Serve immediately while hot and crispy.
Notes
For extra crispiness, make sure your green beans are completely dry before roasting.
Avoid overcrowding the pan—use two sheets if needed to ensure proper roasting.
Use freshly grated parmesan for best flavor and crispy texture.
