Golden, crispy tortillas filled with seasoned ground beef, melty cheddar and mozzarella cheese, and a touch of classic burger flavors. These cheeseburger quesadillas are the perfect blend of comfort food favorites and make an easy, satisfying meal.
Ingredients
1 lb ground beef
1 small onion, diced
1/2 cup bell peppers, diced (optional)
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
1 tsp burger seasoning or salt and pepper to taste
2 tbsp ketchup (optional)
1 tbsp mustard (optional)
4 large flour tortillas
2 tbsp butter or oil, for frying
Instructions
- In a skillet over medium-high heat, brown the ground beef until fully cooked. Drain excess fat.
- Add diced onion and bell peppers to the skillet and sauté until softened, about 5-7 minutes.
- Stir in burger seasoning, ketchup, and mustard if using. Simmer for 2 minutes.
- On half of each tortilla, layer cheddar and mozzarella cheese, then spoon on the beef mixture. Add more cheese and fold the tortilla in half.
- Heat a clean skillet over medium heat and lightly butter or oil it. Cook each quesadilla for 2-3 minutes per side until golden and crispy.
- Let cool slightly, then slice and serve with dipping sauces.
