Description
This rich, creamy pasta dish features tender penne pasta smothered in a Velveeta Alfredo sauce with bold Cajun spices and savory ground beef. It’s comfort food with a Southern twist—perfect for a weeknight dinner or when you’re craving something ultra-satisfying.
Ingredients
12 oz penne pasta
1 lb ground beef
1 ½ cups Velveeta cheese, cubed
1 cup heavy cream
1 tablespoon Cajun seasoning
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tablespoon butter
2 tablespoons chopped parsley or green onions (optional, for garnish)
Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
1. Bring a medium pot of salted water to a boil. Add penne pasta and cook until al dente. Drain and set aside.
2. In a large skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add ground beef and cook until browned. Drain excess grease.
3. Stir in minced garlic and Cajun seasoning. Cook for 1 minute until fragrant.
4. Pour in heavy cream and stir. Gradually add Velveeta cheese cubes, stirring until smooth and creamy.
5. Add the cooked pasta to the sauce and toss gently to coat. Simmer on low for 2–3 minutes to meld flavors.
6. Garnish with chopped parsley or green onion if desired, and serve hot.
Notes
For extra kick, add a pinch of red pepper flakes while cooking the sauce.
If reheating leftovers, add a splash of milk or cream to bring back the creaminess.
Swap ground beef with ground turkey or veggie crumbles for a lighter version.
