Description
This Creamy Velveeta Penne Pasta with Cajun Beef Alfredo Sauce is a rich, cheesy, and spicy pasta dish that blends tender penne with Cajun-seasoned ground beef and a silky Velveeta Alfredo sauce. It’s ready in under 45 minutes and perfect for family dinners or meal prep.
Ingredients
12 oz penne pasta
1 lb ground beef
8 oz Velveeta cheese, cubed
1 cup heavy cream
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 red bell pepper, diced
2 tablespoons Cajun seasoning
2 tablespoons butter
Salt and pepper to taste
1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (optional)
Instructions
1. Boil a large pot of salted water and cook penne pasta until al dente. Drain and set aside.
2. In a large skillet, brown ground beef over medium heat until fully cooked. Drain excess fat.
3. Add butter, minced garlic, and red bell pepper to the beef. Sauté for 2–3 minutes.
4. Reduce heat to low and pour in the heavy cream. Stir in Velveeta cubes until melted and creamy.
5. Whisk in Cajun seasoning, salt, and pepper to taste.
6. Add the cooked penne to the skillet and stir until fully coated in the sauce.
7. Garnish with parsley and serve hot.
Notes
For extra creaminess, add a splash of milk while reheating leftovers.
Substitute ground beef with ground turkey or mushrooms for a leaner or vegetarian option.
For more heat, add red pepper flakes or a dash of hot sauce to the sauce.
