Description

This Creamy Velveeta Bowtie Pasta with Italian Beef Marinara is the ultimate weeknight dinner hero. Made in one skillet with tender bowtie pasta, hearty Italian-seasoned ground beef, rich marinara, and melty Velveeta cheese, it’s comforting, cheesy, and full of flavor. Serve it hot and bubbly with a sprinkle of parsley for the perfect family-friendly meal.

Ingredients

2 cups bowtie pasta (uncooked)

1 pound ground beef (Italian-seasoned or 80/20 lean)

2 cups Velveeta cheese (cubed)

2 cups marinara sauce

2 cloves garlic (minced)

1 small onion (chopped)

1 tablespoon olive oil

1 teaspoon salt

½ teaspoon black pepper

1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

1 tablespoon parsley (optional garnish)

Instructions

1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook the bowtie pasta until al dente. Drain and set aside.

2. In a large skillet over medium heat, heat the olive oil. Add the chopped onion and cook until softened.

3. Stir in the minced garlic and cook for 30 seconds until fragrant.

4. Add the ground beef and cook until browned and fully cooked, breaking it up as it cooks.

5. Pour in the marinara sauce, add Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 5-7 minutes to meld flavors.

6. Reduce the heat to low and stir in cubed Velveeta cheese. Stir until melted and creamy.

7. Add the cooked pasta into the skillet. Toss gently to coat each bowtie with the creamy meat sauce.

8. Garnish with parsley and serve hot for best results.

Notes

To make the cheese melt evenly, keep the heat low and stir constantly when adding Velveeta.

A splash of milk while reheating helps bring back the creaminess if stored in the fridge.

For a bit of spice, add crushed red pepper flakes or swap beef with spicy Italian sausage.
