Description

A cozy and creamy one-pan dinner made with soft potato gnocchi, flavorful Italian sausage, garlic, tomato paste, and rich cream. Topped with parmesan and fresh basil, it’s a quick yet indulgent comfort meal.


Ingredients

1 lb Italian sausage (mild or spicy)

1 package (16 oz) potato gnocchi

1 cup heavy cream

2 tablespoons tomato paste

2 cloves garlic, minced

½ cup grated parmesan cheese

¼ cup fresh basil, chopped

¼ teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)

Salt and black pepper to taste


Instructions

  1. In a large skillet over medium heat, brown the sausage until fully cooked.
  2. Add minced garlic and cook for 30 seconds until fragrant.
  3. Stir in tomato paste and red pepper flakes.
  4. Pour in the heavy cream and simmer for 2–3 minutes.
  5. Add uncooked gnocchi to the skillet, stir to combine, cover and cook for 5–6 minutes.
  6. Remove from heat, stir in parmesan cheese, and top with fresh basil.
