A cozy and creamy one-pan dinner made with soft potato gnocchi, flavorful Italian sausage, garlic, tomato paste, and rich cream. Topped with parmesan and fresh basil, it’s a quick yet indulgent comfort meal.
Ingredients
1 lb Italian sausage (mild or spicy)
1 package (16 oz) potato gnocchi
1 cup heavy cream
2 tablespoons tomato paste
2 cloves garlic, minced
½ cup grated parmesan cheese
¼ cup fresh basil, chopped
¼ teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
Salt and black pepper to taste
Instructions
- In a large skillet over medium heat, brown the sausage until fully cooked.
- Add minced garlic and cook for 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Stir in tomato paste and red pepper flakes.
- Pour in the heavy cream and simmer for 2–3 minutes.
- Add uncooked gnocchi to the skillet, stir to combine, cover and cook for 5–6 minutes.
- Remove from heat, stir in parmesan cheese, and top with fresh basil.
