Ingredients
Italian sausage (mild or spicy)
Yellow onion
Garlic cloves
Crushed tomatoes
Chicken broth
Heavy cream
Parmesan cheese (freshly grated)
Fresh spinach
Italian seasoning
Salt and pepper
Red pepper flakes (optional)
Olive oil or butter
Instructions
- In a large pot, heat olive oil and brown the sausage. Remove and set aside.
- Sauté onions until soft, then add garlic and cook until fragrant.
- Stir in crushed tomatoes and chicken broth. Simmer for 10 minutes.
- Reduce heat. Add cream and parmesan, stirring until smooth.
