Ingredients
1 lb fettuccine pasta
1 lb ground beef
4 cloves garlic, minced
4 tablespoons unsalted butter
1 ½ cups heavy cream
1 cup freshly grated parmesan cheese
½ teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon black pepper
2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley (for garnish)
Instructions
1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook fettuccine according to package directions. Reserve ½ cup of pasta water, then drain and set aside.
2. In a large skillet, cook ground beef over medium-high heat until browned. Season with salt and pepper. Remove and set aside.
3. In the same skillet, reduce heat to medium. Melt the butter and add the minced garlic. Sauté for 1–2 minutes until fragrant.
4. Pour in the heavy cream. Let it simmer for 3–4 minutes, then whisk in the parmesan cheese until fully melted and smooth.
5. Return the cooked beef to the skillet, followed by the fettuccine. Toss everything to coat. Add reserved pasta water as needed to loosen the sauce.
6. Serve hot, garnished with chopped parsley and additional parmesan if desired.
Notes
Use freshly grated parmesan for a smoother, more flavorful sauce—pre-shredded cheese won’t melt the same.
