A bold and creamy pasta dish infused with Caribbean flavors, this Jamaican Shrimp Rasta Pasta brings together tender shrimp, colorful bell peppers, and rich cheesy sauce for a spicy, satisfying meal that’s quick enough for weeknights and indulgent enough for guests.
Ingredients
1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
2 tablespoons jerk seasoning (divided)
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 tablespoon butter
1 red bell pepper, sliced
1 green bell pepper, sliced
1 yellow bell pepper, sliced
3 cloves garlic, minced
1/2 cup chopped red onion
2 cups heavy cream
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
1/2 teaspoon paprika
Salt and pepper to taste
10 oz penne pasta (or rigatoni), cooked al dente
Fresh chopped parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Toss shrimp with 1 tablespoon of jerk seasoning.
 - In a large skillet, heat olive oil and cook shrimp 2–3 minutes per side. Remove and set aside.
 - In the same skillet, melt butter. Add bell peppers, red onion, and garlic; sauté 4–5 minutes.
 - Add heavy cream, remaining jerk seasoning, paprika, Parmesan, and mozzarella. Stir until creamy.
 - Mix in cooked pasta and return shrimp to the skillet. Combine and heat through.
 - Garnish with chopped parsley and serve immediately.
