Creamy Honey Buffalo Steak Pasta Bake combines tender steak bites with a velvety cheese sauce enhanced by buffalo heat and honey sweetness, all wrapped around comforting pasta. It’s baked to perfection with a rich, spicy, and slightly sweet flavor profile that’s impossible to resist.
Ingredients
1 lb ribeye or sirloin steak, cut into bite-sized cubes
2 cups elbow macaroni (or other short pasta)
2 tbsp olive oil
Salt & black pepper, to taste
1 tbsp garlic powder
1 tsp smoked paprika
2 tbsp butter
2 cloves garlic, minced
2 tbsp all-purpose flour
2 cups milk (preferably whole)
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1/2 cup mozzarella cheese
1/4 cup cream cheese
1/4 cup buffalo sauce
2 tbsp honey
Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Boil a large pot of salted water. Cook macaroni until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Season steak with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and smoked paprika. Sear until browned and cooked to desired doneness. Remove and set aside.
- In the same skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for 1 minute. Whisk in flour and cook for another minute.
- Slowly pour in milk while whisking. Simmer until thickened, about 3–5 minutes.
- Stir in cheddar, mozzarella, and cream cheese until melted and smooth.
- Add buffalo sauce and honey. Stir to combine. Taste and adjust heat/sweetness if needed.
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Mix pasta with cheese sauce. Transfer to greased baking dish.
- Top with seared steak. Bake for 10–15 minutes until bubbly. Broil for a crispy finish if desired.
- Let rest, garnish with parsley, and serve hot.
