Creamy Ground Beef Bowtie Pasta with Mozzarella and Parmesan

Description

A creamy, cheesy, and hearty pasta dish made with savory ground beef, rich heavy cream, and melty mozzarella and Parmesan cheese. This recipe is perfect for weeknight dinners or as a crowd-pleaser for gatherings. Bowtie pasta holds the sauce beautifully, and the flavor-packed beef makes it incredibly satisfying.

Ingredients

12 oz bowtie (farfalle) pasta

1 lb ground beef

1 can (14.5 oz) diced tomatoes

1 cup heavy cream

1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese

1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

3 cloves garlic, minced

1 tbsp olive oil or butter

1 tsp salt

1/2 tsp black pepper

1 tsp Italian seasoning

Instructions

1. Heat a large skillet over medium heat. Add olive oil or butter and the ground beef. Break it apart with a wooden spoon and cook until browned. Drain excess grease if needed.

2. Stir in the minced garlic and cook for 1 minute until fragrant. Add the diced tomatoes and combine well with the beef. Simmer for 5 minutes.

3. Reduce heat slightly and pour in the heavy cream. Let it simmer for 2–3 minutes to thicken slightly.

4. While the sauce simmers, bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook the bowtie pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

5. Stir the mozzarella and Parmesan cheese into the sauce. Mix until fully melted and creamy.

6. Add the cooked pasta to the sauce and stir until evenly coated. Season with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning.

7. Serve hot with extra Parmesan or fresh parsley if desired.

Notes

For the creamiest texture, grate your mozzarella and Parmesan fresh rather than using pre-shredded cheese.

To make this spicier, add 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes when simmering the sauce.

If storing leftovers, reheat with a splash of milk or cream to bring back the sauce’s original consistency.
