Description
A creamy, flavorful pasta dish with tender Cajun-seasoned chicken over spaghetti, coated in a luscious garlic mozzarella sauce. Perfect for a cozy dinner with just the right balance of heat and comfort.
Ingredients
1 lb spaghetti
2 large chicken breasts
2 tbsp Cajun seasoning
2 tbsp olive oil
4 cloves garlic, minced
1 cup heavy cream
1 ½ cups mozzarella cheese, shredded
2 tbsp butter
2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
½ tsp salt
¼ tsp black pepper
Instructions
1. Pat chicken breasts dry and season with Cajun seasoning, salt, and pepper.
2. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat and sear chicken 4–5 minutes per side until golden and cooked through. Remove and rest.
3. Cook spaghetti in salted boiling water until al dente. Reserve ½ cup pasta water, then drain.
4. In the same skillet, melt butter and sauté minced garlic for 30 seconds.
5. Pour in heavy cream, scraping up browned bits, then reduce heat to low.
6. Stir in mozzarella until melted and smooth; season with more Cajun spice if desired.
7. Toss cooked pasta in sauce, adding pasta water if needed.
8. Slice chicken and serve over pasta; garnish with fresh parsley.
Notes
For extra heat, add a pinch of cayenne pepper to the sauce.
Use freshly grated mozzarella for the smoothest melting.
Reserve pasta water before draining—it’s perfect for loosening the sauce.
