Description
A creamy, Cajun-spiced chicken linguine tossed in a spicy garlic cheese sauce. Tender chicken, velvety sauce, and just the right amount of heat make this dish perfect for weeknight comfort or weekend entertaining.
Ingredients
1 lb chicken breast
2 tbsp Cajun seasoning
2 tbsp olive oil
12 oz linguine pasta
4 cloves garlic, minced
1 cup heavy cream
1 cup chicken broth
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1/2 tsp red pepper flakes
2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
Salt & black pepper to taste
Instructions
1. Pat chicken dry, cube evenly, and season with Cajun seasoning, salt, and pepper.
2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat, sear chicken until golden and cooked through. Remove and set aside.
3. Bring a pot of salted water to a boil, cook linguine until al dente. Reserve 1/2 cup pasta water before draining.
4. In the same skillet, sauté garlic until fragrant. Add chicken broth and heavy cream, stir to combine.
5. Reduce heat, stir in cheddar, Parmesan, and red pepper flakes until smooth.
6. Add linguine and a splash of reserved pasta water, toss to coat.
7. Return chicken to skillet, mix well, and garnish with parsley. Serve hot.
Notes
Use freshly grated Parmesan for the smoothest sauce.
Don’t skip reserving pasta water—it helps bind the sauce to the pasta.
Adjust Cajun seasoning for desired spice level.
