Description
A rich and creamy pasta dish featuring tender bowtie pasta, smoky Cajun-seasoned chicken, and a velvety garlic cheese sauce. Perfect for weeknight comfort or weekend indulgence.
Ingredients
12 oz bowtie pasta (farfalle)
2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
2 tbsp Cajun seasoning
2 tbsp olive oil
2 tbsp butter
4 cloves garlic, minced
1 cup heavy cream
1 cup chicken broth
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp black pepper
Instructions
1. Pat chicken breasts dry and season generously with Cajun seasoning.
2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Sear chicken until golden brown and cooked through. Remove and rest.
3. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook bowtie pasta until al dente. Drain and set aside.
4. In the skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add garlic and sauté until fragrant.
5. Stir in chicken broth and heavy cream, simmering gently. Add cheddar and Parmesan, stirring until smooth.
6. Slice rested chicken. Add pasta to sauce and toss to coat.
7. Plate pasta, top with sliced chicken, garnish with parsley, and serve hot.
Notes
Use freshly grated cheese for the smoothest sauce.
Let chicken rest before slicing to keep juices inside.
Add a splash of cream or milk when reheating leftovers to maintain the sauce’s texture.
