Ingredients

Chicken breast, diced

Broccoli florets

Penne pasta

Heavy cream

Parmesan cheese, grated

Garlic, minced

Butter

Olive oil

Salt and black pepper

Red pepper flakes (optional)


Instructions

  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add penne and cook until al dente. Add broccoli in the last 2 minutes of cooking. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Season chicken with salt and pepper and sear until golden and cooked through. Remove and set aside.
  3. Reduce heat to medium. Add butter to the skillet, then garlic. Cook for 1 minute until fragrant.
  4. Stir in heavy cream and let simmer for 3-4 minutes.
  5. Add Parmesan cheese, stirring until melted and the sauce thickens. Season to taste.
  6. Return chicken, broccoli, and penne to the skillet. Toss everything until well combined and heated through.
  7. Serve hot, garnished with extra Parmesan and cracked black pepper.
