Ingredients
2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
4 oz cream cheese (full-fat recommended)
2 cloves garlic, minced
3/4 cup chicken broth
2 tbsp olive oil or butter
1 tsp Italian seasoning
Salt and pepper to taste
Fresh chives or parsley, for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Season chicken breasts with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning.
- In a skillet over medium heat, add olive oil or butter and sear chicken for 5–6 minutes per side until golden and cooked through. Remove and set aside.
- In the same skillet, lower heat and add garlic. Cook until fragrant.
- Stir in cream cheese and a splash of chicken broth, mixing until smooth.
- Add remaining broth gradually, stirring to desired consistency.
- Simmer sauce 2–3 minutes. Add extra seasoning if desired.
- Return chicken to skillet, coat with sauce, and simmer another 2–3 minutes.
- Garnish with chives or parsley. Serve hot.
