Description
Cheesy Cajun Steak Pasta with Garlic Parmesan Sauce is the perfect fusion of spicy and creamy comfort food. Juicy Cajun-rubbed steak slices top a bed of rotini pasta tossed in a rich garlic Parmesan sauce. This one-pan meal is fast enough for weeknights and bold enough for special occasions.
Ingredients
1 lb ribeye or sirloin steak
8 oz rotini pasta
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 tablespoon Cajun seasoning
½ teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon black pepper
2 tablespoons butter
4 cloves garlic, minced
1½ cups heavy cream
1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley (optional)
Instructions
1. Rub steak with Cajun seasoning, salt, and pepper. Heat olive oil in a skillet and sear steak 3–4 minutes per side until desired doneness. Let rest and slice thin.
2. Cook rotini pasta in a large pot of salted boiling water until al dente. Drain and reserve ¼ cup pasta water.
3. In the same skillet, reduce heat to medium-low. Melt butter and sauté garlic until fragrant.
4. Pour in heavy cream and whisk in Parmesan cheese until the sauce is smooth and creamy.
5. Add the drained pasta into the skillet. Toss to coat. Add a splash of reserved pasta water if needed to thin the sauce.
6. Plate pasta and top with sliced steak. Garnish with parsley if using. Serve hot.
Notes
Let steak rest before slicing to lock in the juices.
Use freshly grated Parmesan for best texture in the sauce.
You can substitute penne or fusilli if rotini is unavailable.
