Ingredients
1 lb cheese tortellini (refrigerated or frozen)
1 lb sirloin steak tips or shaved beef
1 tablespoon butter (plus extra if needed)
1 cup heavy cream
1 1/2 cups provolone cheese, shredded
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon onion powder
Salt, to taste
Black pepper, to taste
Fresh parsley, chopped (optional garnish)
Instructions
- Sear the Steak: In a large skillet over medium-high heat, melt 1 tablespoon butter. Add the steak, seasoned with salt and pepper. Cook until browned and just done. Remove and set aside.
- Cook the Tortellini: In a large pot, cook the tortellini according to the package directions. Drain and set aside.
- Prepare the Sauce: In the same skillet used for steak, reduce heat to medium. Add a little more butter if needed. Pour in the heavy cream and stir in provolone cheese. Mix until the cheese is fully melted and sauce is smooth. Add garlic powder, onion powder, and adjust salt and pepper to taste.
- Combine: Add the cooked tortellini and steak into the skillet. Stir well to coat everything in the sauce. Simmer for 2–3 minutes on low heat.
- Serve: Garnish with fresh parsley and serve immediately while hot.
