Description

These Cajun Steak Tips in Cheesy Penne Parmesan Sauce are the perfect fusion of bold spice and creamy comfort. Seared steak bites seasoned with Cajun heat are folded into a velvety parmesan cheese sauce and tossed with penne pasta for a quick, irresistible meal. Perfect for weeknight dinners or casual get-togethers!

Ingredients

1 lb steak (sirloin or ribeye), cut into bite-sized tips

2 tablespoons Cajun seasoning

8 oz penne pasta

1 tablespoon olive oil

2 tablespoons butter (divided)

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 cup heavy cream

1 cup freshly grated parmesan cheese

Salt and black pepper, to taste

Fresh basil or parsley, for garnish (optional)

Instructions

1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook penne pasta until al dente, drain, and set aside.

2. While the pasta cooks, cut the steak into bite-sized tips and toss in Cajun seasoning until well coated.

3. Heat a cast iron skillet over medium-high heat. Add olive oil and 1 tablespoon of butter.

4. Sear the steak tips for 2–3 minutes per side until browned. Remove from pan and set aside.

5. In the same skillet, add the remaining tablespoon of butter and sauté the minced garlic for 30 seconds.

6. Reduce heat to medium and pour in the heavy cream. Stir and bring to a gentle simmer.

7. Gradually whisk in the parmesan cheese until fully melted and the sauce becomes creamy.

8. Add cooked penne to the skillet and stir to coat in the sauce.

9. Return steak tips to the pan and gently mix to combine.

10. Serve hot, topped with fresh basil or parsley if desired.

Notes

For extra creaminess, stir in 1 tablespoon of cream cheese with the parmesan.

Use freshly grated parmesan—not the shelf-stable kind—for best melting results.

Let steak rest a minute after searing to retain juices before adding back into the sauce.
