These Butter Toffee Pretzels combine salty crunch and buttery sweetness in every bite. Quick to make and wildly addictive, they’re perfect for parties, homemade gifts, or an anytime snack. With a glossy toffee coating that clings to each curve, they deliver flavor and texture with every handful.
Ingredients
1 16-ounce bag mini pretzels
1 cup unsalted butter
1 cup brown sugar, packed
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
0.5 teaspoon baking soda
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 250°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone mat.
2. In a medium saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter. Add brown sugar and stir until dissolved and bubbling.
3. Remove from heat. Stir in vanilla extract and baking soda until combined.
4. In a large mixing bowl, pour toffee mixture over the pretzels and toss gently to coat.
5. Spread pretzels in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet.
6. Bake for 30 minutes, stirring every 10 minutes to ensure even coating.
7. Remove from oven and allow to cool completely. The toffee will harden as it cools.
Notes
Stirring every 10 minutes during baking helps prevent clumps and ensures even toffee distribution.
Don’t skip the baking soda—it helps the toffee foam and coat better.
Let the pretzels cool completely before storing to keep them crisp.
